Runners have the option of registering as a 'group' (a local club or a simple group of friends).
What are the primary benefits ?
The objective of a group entry is that all group members HAVE THE SAME RESULT in the draw, and this may be positive or negative.
How does it work ?
Each group member participates in the draw with the lowest number of Running Stones held by one of the runners in the group. If the group obtains participation for a final, only the number of Running Stones used will be deducted from each runner.
For instance, if your group consists of four members, where three runners each have five Running Stones and one runner has only two, the lottery will consider only two Running Stones for each member of the group.
What are the requirements ?
As part of the individual pre-registration process, each runner in the group must possess at least one Running Stone and hold a valid UTMB index in the authorized categories.
Group registration only concerns runners who have to be drawn.
Runners who have a reserved place cannot pre-register as a group.
