Qualification can be earned through a top placed podium finish or through a high performance level in the race score
What does "Direct qualification" mean ?
This means qualifying for the UTMB finals without going through the draw but through a performance on one of the UTMB World series events, Finals or Majors.
Qualification period for the UTMB World Series Finals
Events and Majors in 2024 will qualify for the 2025 UTMB World Series Finals.
There are two ways to qualify :
1. PODIUM QUALIFICATION
- UTMB World Series Events
Top 3 Male / Top 3 Female - UTMB World Series Majors
TOP 10 Male / Top 10 Female - UTMB World Series Finals (UTMB, CCC and OCC)
TOP 3 Male / Top 3 Female will have direct access to the next year's Final, provided they have collected at least 1 Running Stone in the same calendar year as their podium.
2. QUALIFICATION WITH THE UTMB SCORE
In addition to the Top 3 qualifications for Events and Top 10 for Majors, all runners who obtain a UTMB Score (*) higher or equal to the one mentioned in this table, on one of the races of the UTMB World Series circuit in the 50K, 100K or 100M categories, will be qualified for the final of the same category.

QUALIFYING RACES
Some events offer 2 races in the same race category, in this case only one of these races offers places for the final. Please check the specific race web page to ensure the race carried the Finals Access logo next to the race category and Running Stone Information.
